  The accessible information founded on the website gives a wide ranging orientation in the field of technique history and industrial heritage. Content wise we focus on the production, the past of the technical culture and its heritage affecting its whole, but mostly we concentrate on the time of the industrial revolution’s significant intellectual and objective legacy.

The aim of the website is to give valuable information to all generation about the industrial heritage, focusing on the natural science education and the representatives of research. According to this our tasks are the following:

• the tasks are being linked to conservation and recycling, and the promotion of the exchange of the technique history knowledge with exploration and research of the industrial heritage plays an important role as well,

• increasing the general public's interest concerning the history and culture of the industry and – primary – the manufacturing industry,

• encouraging the cultural history tourism and supporting the heritage– and cultural tourism,

• organising the international program named „Middle-European Industrial Heritage” in Miskolc, utilising the production and technique history legacy in this area.

All these tasks can be solved with a wide range of social cooperation, with scientific professional tenability and with competent state support.

The creators of the website expect this communication field to become one of the tools for this magnificent task. We also hope that the existing scattered strengths and tools which can help the positive changes efficiently will find each other.
